The Amalgam is a Rare Grade 3 Survey ship available from player level 31, and its defining trick is a cargo ability that lets it fill its hold and then exceed it when raiding in PvP -- making it the ship of choice for hauling large amounts out of an enemy station in one trip. If the target has more cargo than the Amalgam's hold capacity, it fills up and then takes an extra percentage of whatever's left; the effect doesn't trigger if your cargo was already full before the attack.
Against Supply Depots in Klingon and Romulan systems, the Amalgam loots Plundered Cargo, which refines in the Amalgam Refinery into Faction reputation Exocomps, Amalgam parts, and Amalgam Gacha tokens -- the last of which can hand you Honorguard Worf shards, more reputation Exocomps, and unlocks for Refits and Projectiles.
