01 THE DAILY PVE LOOT LIMIT

There's a hard daily cap of 2,500 PvE battles that actually pay out loot -- past that, hostile kills stop giving XP, resources, reputation, or chests for the rest of the day. It resets at 05:00 UTC and doesn't touch mission hostiles, player ships or stations, or Armadas, so those keep paying out regardless. It's also not a bug: Support won't reinstate loot if you grind past it, so it's worth treating 2,500 as a real ceiling rather than something to push against.

02 RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (ROE)

"Rules of Engagement" is player-invented etiquette around PvP -- things like only attacking a miner once their cargo is over-protected -- not an official Scopely system. It varies by server, Scopely doesn't enforce or arbitrate it, and Support won't get involved in ROE disputes. If you want to know your server's norms, ask your alliance admiral or check the server's Galaxy chat and Discord rather than assuming a universal rulebook exists.

03 WARP TRAVEL AND CANCELLING A WARP

When you set a course, your ship always computes the fastest route it can manage given its current warp range -- not necessarily the shortest-looking line on the map -- and "X% Warp Speed" buffs from the Exocomp Factory or the right crew genuinely shorten that travel time. If you fat-finger a destination, you're not stuck: tapping the X button during the 5-second charge-up aborts before you ever leave, and once a warp is already underway, the ship's Action Panel has an Emergency Stop that drops you out at the next system along the route instead of your original destination.

04 CHAT MODERATION

Inappropriate names, Alliance tags, descriptions, or chat messages can get an account muted under Scopely's Terms of Service. Every report gets investigated before any penalty lands -- Scopely says it doesn't apply mutes reflexively -- and during a mute you simply can't communicate with anyone in-game until it expires.

05 MONTHLY CHIP PACKS

Each month you can buy one Monthly Chip pack for 300 chips, redeemable at 10 a day from the Resources tab of the Store. You get the current month plus the next one to use them -- up to 60 days depending on when in the month you bought it -- and unredeemed chips are simply lost once that window closes, so it pays to redeem daily rather than let them stack up. The pack is capped at one per player per month, though Scopely notes you may see the offer resurface after leveling up within the same month; that's a known quirk, not a second entitlement, and there's no extended support once the two-month redemption window has passed.

06 OFFICER PRESETS AND FLEET PRESETS

Officer Presets save a full bridge-and-below-deck crew loadout so you can swap between, say, a mining crew and a PvP crew without manually reassigning officers each time -- select a ship, open Assign Officers, and the preset icon sits next to the info button. Fleet Presets go a level up, saving entire ship-plus-officer fleet configurations from the Fleet Presets tab under Ship Management, though ships and officers need to be docked before you can swap between them. Forbidden Tech and Chaos Tech stay attached to their ship through a preset swap rather than being unassigned. Your first preset slot unlocks through the Syndicate Tree, with more opening as you progress it further.

07 REDEEMING PROMO CODES

Promo codes redeem through startrekfleetcommand.com, not inside the app: log in with your Scopely Account on the site, open Store, then Redeem Code, and the reward lands back in-game once it's verified (the Gifts section also has a Redeem Promo Code shortcut). Codes are typically aimed at a specific group of players -- new commanders, loyalty rewards, a particular event -- and aren't transferable to someone the code wasn't meant for. Every code carries a start and end date and simply stops working once expired; there's no extension or swap for an expired code. You can hold and redeem more than one code at a time if you're eligible for several, and codes get distributed through official social media, newsletters, and Discord, so that's where to watch for new ones.

08 EMERGENCY FIELD RATIONS

Emergency Field Rations are a flexible compensation currency Scopely hands out after technical issues or server disruptions, in place of fixed compensation items -- announced through official Discord and Reddit rather than something you can request. They're not Ops-level gated (though the Galactic Recruit redemption option needs Ops 20+) and they never expire, so there's no rush to spend them the moment you get one. The Ration Store offers a small set of redemption options aimed at real progression -- reward chips, Syndicate XP, and Galactic Recruit among them -- though Scopely notes future compensation won't always use this system; some issues may still get bespoke items instead.
