The Ra'Ul Reaver: raiding Sigma resources at G6 and G7
LATE GAME 3 min read
This is a Grade 6 and 7 ship
It needs a level 61 drydock, so it is out of reach until you are well into the late game. If you are below that, read this as something to plan for, not something to chase now.
01 WHAT IT IS, IN ONE PARAGRAPH

The Ra'Ul Reaver is an Epic Survey-hull ship that arrived on 28 July 2026. It exists to do one thing: steal Sigma resources from other players' stations. Sigma resources, written with the Greek letter sigma as in Sigma-Parsteel, are the late-game versions of the three basic resources, and until this ship there was no way to raid them directly. Think of it as the Amalgam's successor for Grade 6 and above.

02 HOW THE RAID LOOP WORKS

You attack a defeated player station, and the Reaver fills its cargo hold with Sigma-Parsteel, Sigma-Tritanium and Sigma-Dilithium in a 10 to 2 to 1 ratio. Whatever space is left over gets filled with any other resources the target has. Alongside that, the ship unlocks its own refinery that turns your ordinary Parsteel, Tritanium and Dilithium into the Sigma versions, so you have a second route to them that does not depend on finding a target.

Scopely's own diagram of the two halves: raid a station on the left, run the dedicated refinery claim on the right.

03 THE TWO ABILITIES, AND THE CATCH

Sigma Feast is what makes the ship prioritise Sigma resources over ordinary ones when both are available. Matter Array is the cargo hold itself, and it has an important limitation: its capacity is not affected by Cargo Bay buffs, so the usual ways of increasing how much a ship can carry do nothing here. What Matter Array does add is a bonus share. If the target holds more than the Reaver can carry, the ship fills up and then takes an extra slice of what is left over. That only triggers if the Reaver had empty cargo space before the attack, so raiding with a half-full hold wastes the ability.

04 THE BONUS SHARE IS SMALL, AND SCALES WITH TIER

Do not expect the Matter Array bonus to change your day at low tiers. It starts at 0.01 percent at Tier 1 and climbs roughly evenly to 0.1 percent at Tier 15, which is the ship's maximum tier. In other words the fully upgraded ship takes ten times the bonus share of a fresh one, but the number is a fraction of a percent either way. The reason to upgrade is the refinery, not this.

05 THE REFINERY IS THE REAL REASON TO UPGRADE

The Reaver unlocks three exclusive refinery bundles: Reaver Parsteel into Sigma-Parsteel, Reaver Tritanium into Sigma-Tritanium, and Reaver Dilithium into Sigma-Dilithium. Each has a 22-hour cooldown, and each scales in value as you upgrade the ship. This refinery is also where the ship's own parts come from, so upgrading it feeds itself. Sigma resources arrive as tokens, and tokens cannot be raided off you, which makes conversion a safe place to park value.

06 HOW TO GET THE BLUEPRINTS

Two sources: the Alliance Tournament Store and Infinite Incursions. You need 200 blueprints. You can build more than one Reaver, and the extra ship parts come from that same exclusive conversion refinery.

07 WHAT IT COSTS TO PUT ONE IN THE WATER

200 blueprints, a level 61 drydock, and a build time of 3 days and 3 hours. The ship tops out at Tier 15 and level 75. Those numbers come from the game data rather than the announcement, and you can see them on this site's own Ra'Ul Reaver page along with the full build cost.

08 IF YOU ARE READING THIS IN THE LAUNCH WINDOW

For 28 days from the ship's release, upgrading it unlocks milestone gifts every two tiers, sitting in the Sigma Refinery. Scopely listed Peace Shields, Sigma Resource Tokens, officer shards including SCT Nog, VIL Gul Dukat and VIL Winn Adami, and further progression rewards, with the gifts getting better at higher tiers. The ship's launch was delayed for balance changes and the reward timer was reset with it, so the 28 days run from the actual 28 July release.
