The Vindicator: the tank built to soak Armadas

KEY POINTS
  • The Vindicator is an Epic Battleship (18 tiers, levels 40-70) built to tank in Armada, Solo Armada and Invasion Boss fights.
  • Its Taunt makes opponent Armadas target it for 20 rounds at first. Upgrades make it last longer and recharge faster.
  • Unfettered Revenge adds 300% weapon damage (up to 5000% at max rank) for 5 rounds each time an Armada hits it. The effect stacks. Multi-shot weapons only trigger it once per attack.
01 WHAT IT'S BUILT FOR

The Vindicator is an Epic Battleship with 18 tiers and a level range of 40-70. (Our records list it as Grade 4.) It is a multi-ship battle champion for Armada, Solo Armada and Invasion Boss combat. It is a tank. It takes big hits and returns them with more weapon power.

02 ITS TWO KEY ABILITIES

Taunt is its active ability. At the start of combat it forces opponent Armadas to target the Vindicator for a set number of rounds, 20 at first. Upgrading the ship lengthens Taunt and shortens its cooldown. Unfettered Revenge is its passive ability. It raises weapon damage by 300% (up to 5000% at max rank) for 5 rounds each time an Armada hits the ship. The effect is cumulative and grows as the ship takes more damage. Weapons with multiple shots only trigger it once per attack. This makes it a key ship for G6 Armadas: it survives, and it hits harder the longer the fight lasts.

03 RESEARCH

A Starship Tree Research branch improves the Vindicator. It improves Armada performance, warp range, Taunt duration and defenses. Upgrades include Taunt damage and shield mitigation, SHP and repair speed, Taunt effects against Federation, Klingon, Romulan and Solo Armadas, Isolytic Defense against G6 Solo Armadas, base hazard resistance, combat hull repair against Solo Armadas, and Isolytic Damage against Armadas. Global Chase nodes benefit all your ships.
