01 WHAT IT IS

The USS Titan-A is an Epic Grade 4 Explorer, a Neo-Constitution design inspired by older Constitution-class ships. In its lore, the NCC-80102-A launched in 2396 under Captain Liam Shaw before Captain Riker took command; its overpowered impulse engines give it the largest sub-light power-to-geometry ratio in Starfleet. To build it you need a Shipyard at level 37 and Tolerated standing with the Ex-Borg Faction, which then offers a blueprint bundle.

02 ITS TWO FORTIFICATION ABILITIES

The Titan-A was the first ship with two active abilities boosting your own and your Alliance's combat performance across hostiles, PvP, Territory Capture, and Armadas -- it can also counter the Mantis's Venomous Puncture ability with either one. Fortification applies a Fortified state (25% Critical Damage, plus whatever Titan research buffs the receiving player has unlocked) to every ship you have in the same system, plus some Alliance ships. Max Fortification does the same but stronger -- 25% Critical Damage and 250% Damage, activating all unlocked Titan research buffs. Both cost Radioactive Titanite, which you get from the Gifts tab (scaling with tier) once the ship is built, and both have a duration and cooldown. Alliance ships are picked by highest Attack stat first, skip any ship already under one of the states, and refresh the duration if one of your own ships is already affected.

03 RESEARCH AND UPGRADING

Tiering up the Titan-A shortens the cooldown and lengthens the duration of its active abilities on its own; Titan-A research nodes push that further and can add new effects entirely -- importantly, those unlocked nodes only apply to your own ships, the same rule that governs the Cerritos and Defiant. Veridium Isotope, needed to unlock that research, comes from completing the ability's daily goals (plus the Offers tab), and the ship itself upgrades on USS Titan-A Parts earned from the Fortification Daily Goal. One more detail worth knowing: the number of ships that can benefit from an active ability, based on tier, doesn't count against any other ship limit, and both abilities only affect undocked ships.
