The USS Voyager is an Epic Grade 4 Explorer and one of the most technologically advanced ships in the fleet, with upgraded sensors and a cruise velocity of warp 9.975. In-game, it opens the Delta Quadrant: build it and you can hunt Isolytic damage Artifacts and ship parts for a range of other vessels, including the Cerritos, Amalgam, and various Grade 4 ships.
You need Operations Level 30 to start defeating Hirogen hostiles in the Delta Quadrant and collecting Hirogen Relics, which refine in the Voyager refinery into Deuterium Canister -- the resource that fuels its two active abilities. At Operations Level 34, with blueprints gathered, you can build it. Advanced Sensors uncovers hidden hostiles like the elusive Species 8472 (its activation cost refunds if no target is found), and Astrometrics Scan reveals the location of a targeted player's station -- both cost Deuterium Canister plus a duration and cooldown. Species 8472 Bioships, found in the Velixys system, can only be spotted while Advanced Sensors is active.
Upgrading the Voyager takes Exotic Biotoxins (from Species 8472 Bioships in Velixys) and Anomaly Samples (mined from systems like FSEP-505, FSEP-3819, FSEP-247, and FSEP-001), both refined in the Voyager refinery. Its research nodes reach beyond the ship itself: Below Deck Assembly unlocks Below Decks officer slots, Artifact Hunting Extraordinaire adds a bonus Artifact roll to the common and rare Anomaly Sample refinery, Dismantle Tinkering speeds up base scrapping for every ship you own, and Ship Maintenance Efficiency lowers the base cost of repairing all ships.
