The U.S.S. Athena is so much more than a starship. She is a working campus, a diplomatic powerhouse, and a symbol of the Federation’s future. A future which, for the first time since the Burn, is starting to look up. For an Academy-class ship, the Athena has seen her fair share of action. Under the command of Chancellor Nahla Ake, the Athena and her crew went up against the Furies and the Venari Ral. In fact, no other ship holds a candle to the U.S.S. Athena when it comes to dealing with the infamous pirates. But Chancellor Ake wasn’t there to guide her crew when the Athena was mysteriously pulled into the past. It fell to the Doctor and the Academy cadets to deal with the lingering threat of the Venari Ral and their de facto leader, Deidamia. But with the Commander’s help, the crew of the U.S.S. Athena managed to hold their own, rescue their Chancellor, and get their ship back up and running. This ship, constructed from blueprints based on the original Athena, serves as a reminder of their misadventure, a small part of the 32nd century left behind to make sure that the Venari Ral are kept at bay in our galaxy.
