Some are destined to walk an unbeaten path, fated to change the course of history forever. Some men are simply born to be heroes. Jason Nesmith is not one of those men. Making a name for himself as Peter Quincy Taggart in the cult classic television series, Galaxy Quest, Nesmith found himself quite comfortable in the role, never quite pushing his boundaries, never questioning whether or not he could have a greater career elsewhere. When the show was canceled after a particularly nail-biting cliffhanger, most of the cast were relieved to finally be free of it. Nesmith, however, never quite recovered from the sting of losing his golden goose. In the years to come, the aging actor held on to whatever scraps of relevancy he could, appearing at conventions, store-openings, and in more than a few car insurance commercials. However, as his career appeared to hit rock bottom, Nesmith found himself catapulted into a real space adventure. Along with his former castmates, Jason captained the Protector in a battle against the fierce dictator, Sarris. Thanks to his ingenuity, wit, and a good dash of dumb luck, Nesmith managed to defeat the tyrant and save the day.
