Hikaru Sulu, born in San Francisco, USA, in 2237, is the helmsman of the U.S.S. Enterprise. A naturally gifted pilot, Sulu has a reputation as one of the most skilled hands in Starfleet. He is an expert in close combat, particularly with bladed weapons, and has a keen interest in antique firearms. Sulu is trained in judo techniques and is an amateur botanist. Sulu is a charismatic and energetic member of James T. Kirk’s bridge crew and one that the Captain trusts with his life.
