The U.S.S. Kelcie Mae is a ship for Commanders at Operations (Ops) level 61 or higher whose Alliance plays Territory Capture, the Alliance zone-control feature in the Origin Sector. If your Alliance does not take part in Takeovers, most of what the ship offers is out of reach, and you can skip it. This guide assumes you already own a few G6 ships (generation 6), have Isogen mining in the Rogue Space systems or the Origin Sector, and can spare weeks of Refinery work. It was added in Update 95, and everything numerical below comes from either the site's ship data or Scopely's Update 95 spotlight, which is named where it is used.
According to the site's ship data, the Kelcie Mae is an Epic Grade 6 Survey ship, which means a mining-focused hull. It needs 200 Blueprints to unlock, takes 272,100 seconds (about 3 days and 3.5 hours) to build, and reaches Tier 15 and Level 75. Its build cost is 11,700 6-star Common Refined Ore, 20,790 6-star Common Refined Crystal, 346,000 Σ-Tritanium (the Sigma tier of Tritanium) and 630 Σ-Dilithium. Treat these as the starting bill; the real long-term cost is the research and tier-ups covered below.
From week 3 of the Update 95 arc, the free track of each Territory Capture Battle Pass carries 50 Kelcie Mae Blueprints. That is a quarter of the 200 needed, so a Commander who collects every free-track copy can unlock the ship at no cost after four passes. Blueprints and ship parts also show up in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 Territory Service spawn pools. Each time the first Kelcie Mae you build reaches a new tier you get a one-time gift of Officer Badge Choice Tokens, exchangeable for Command, Science or Engineering badges. A second copy does not repeat the gift. During the Update 95 arc (September 17 to October 15) those gifts also carried Spock officer shards (Cat Spock, Ambassador Spock and Female Spock); that bonus was time-limited.
Isogenite Prospector raises your base mining speed on 1-, 2- and 3-star Raw Isogenite and on Isogenite Geodes. Scopely lists the maximum as 1,100,000% of base. Staying Power helps only while you are defending a Capture Node during a Takeover against another player: it raises base Standard Damage by up to 6,000,000% and base Apex Barrier (a defensive stat) by up to 250,000,000. Two terms from the same update are worth knowing. Standard Damage is the name Scopely is moving to for ordinary base damage, so you can tell it apart from special damage types. Standard Hostiles are the red-triangle enemies that are not Armadas, replacing the older phrase non-Armada hostiles. These maximum values apply at full ship progression, not on day one.
The Refit is an active ability that protects the ship while it mines. When another player attacks you on a mining node your officer abilities are switched off completely (minus 100% to Captain's Maneuver, Officer Ability and Below Deck Ability), but the ship gains 40,000,000% base Standard Damage, 300% more shots per attack, an 8-round delay before enemy weapons fire, and 10,000,000% resistance to the Borg Cube's Cutting Beam and the GS-31's Gravitational Blast. Update 95.3 cut its costs: the base cooldown is 2 hours and falls by 4 minutes per ship tier, reaching about 1.07 hours at Tier 15, and the activation cost now rises by 10 Nexus Prisms per tier, down from 15.
The ship unlocks 17 new Territory Research nodes (one Scopely page says 16; the spotlight lists 17). Every node but two special ones has 15 levels, one per ship tier, so a level only unlocks once the ship reaches that tier. They are paid for with Nexus Prisms, a resource that comes only from the Kelcie Mae Refinery. The nodes split into three kinds. Some improve the ship itself: cargo and protected cargo (each up to +2,000%), an Isogenite Rush that multiplies mined Isogenite and Geodes without draining the node faster, and a PvP defense (player-versus-player) boost. Some help every G6 or higher Survey ship with cargo, protected cargo and mining speed. Others cover Territory Capture more broadly, such as more Isogenite from Origin Sector hostiles, better Quantum and Luminous exchange cooldowns, more Takeover points from Armadas, and Isolytic and Critical damage for G6+ FKR ships (Federation, Klingon, Romulan) against players.
The Territory Refinery gained a Kelcie Mae section with Nexus Prisms, Kelcie Mae Parts, tier-up gifts, 4-diamond Refined Isogen, Progenitor Alloys (including an Uncommon grade), Consulate Quantum and Luminous Cores, Chronometric Particles and Refined Isogenite. Nexus Prisms can also be exchanged for other Prism types. Update 95.3 added a Prime Research node that increases the ship parts you receive from the Refinery and so cuts the time to upgrade and tier up the ship by 50%. It can be bought in the Store, and owners can also get it through a Geode exchange in the Territory Refinery.
The Kelcie Mae is not covered by the Syndicate Level 61 Instant Warp buff, which applies only to the ships on its eligible list and not to future G3 to G6 Survey ships. Do not count on it as a fast mover. It is also a Territory ship rather than a general-purpose one: outside Territory Capture its main benefits are the research nodes that help other G6 and higher Survey and FKR ships.
If you are Ops 61+ and in an Alliance that fights Takeovers, plan on collecting the free Battle Pass Blueprints each run instead of buying anything, since four passes finish the unlock. Once built, put your first Nexus Prisms into the ship's own mining and defense nodes, then into the Survey-wide cargo and mining nodes, which help other ships too. Buy or farm the Prime node early because it halves tier-up time. If you are below Ops 61, or your Alliance does not take zones, leave it alone and spend your effort elsewhere.
