After returning to Earth, Tuvok, along with the rest of the crew of Voyager, were given a hero’s welcome. Tuvok was promoted to Commander and rewarded with a comfortable posting at Starfleet Academy, utilizing his vast experience in the Delta Quadrant to raise the next generation of explorers. However, something scratched at the back of Tuvok’s mind. Sentiment and emotion were, of course, human faults but even still, he felt... he felt. This creeping growth of emotion began to disturb Tuvok. He was becoming anxious, irritable. He was having dreams, nightmares of his assimilation by the Borg. Tuvok needed clarity. He needed Vulcan. Taking a temporary leave of absence, Tuvok bid a fond farewell to his friends and crewmates and set out once more to his home world of Vulcan. There, he hoped he would once again find peace in the comforting embrace of Logic.
