Montgomery Scott, known to his friends as “Scotty,” and to Commander Pelia as “that pain in my backside that could have done so much better at the Academy, but is surprisingly adept in a pinch,” is an extremely promising young Starfleet engineer. Already experienced from serving on various starships and freighters, Scott found himself stationed aboard the U.S.S. Stardiver when it was attacked and destroyed by the Gorn in the Shangdi system. His ingenuity led to him being the sole survivor, and he later assisted the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in their battle against the Gorn on Parnassus Beta. Reunited with his old Academy professor, and Chief Engineer of the Enterprise, Commander Pelia, she has taken him under her extensive wing, sharing teachings and insights from her long lifetime - amidst a few choice insults - to help him maximize his potential. Recently promoted to a full Lieutenant, and noted for his ability to work engineering miracles, Scotty’s future would appear to be very bright indeed.
